Albinder Dhindsa stressed that profitability is not the main goal even if the actual price of the service has not been revealed. “We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this vital problem for the long term,” he said. Over the following two years, Blinkit intends to extend this service to all big cities.

Blinkit’s second new offering this week is an ambulance service. The business has also launched a fleet of electric cars. These vehicles are designed to handle large purchases, like party supplies and electronics. These vehicles are now in Delhi and Gurugram. They plan to expand to nearby cities soon. Blinkit shows its creativity by solving urban problems with smart ideas. This focus improves user ease and accessibility while staying affordable.
By March 2025, Blinkit’s 10-minute ambulance service will reach Delhi, Noida, and some areas of Bengaluru. This follows a great response in Gurugram. The company runs more than 25 ambulances. They use AI-assisted dispatch systems. These systems improve routing by considering real-time traffic and the type of emergency. Blinkit has partnered with major private hospitals. This helps with smooth handovers and prioritizing patients. A new mobile app feature lets users track ambulances in real-time. They can also share important medical details right away and notify nearby emergency contacts. Pilot programs in Mumbai and Hyderabad are slated to begin by Q2 2025.
