Russia’s mRNA-based cancer vaccine, Enteromix, has shown 100% effectiveness and safety in early clinical studies. This is a huge step forward in the fight against cancer. Enteromix was created by the National Medical Research Radiological Centre (NMRRC) and the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology. It uses an oncolytic technique to teach the immune system how to find and kill cancer cells.

This medicine, Enteromix, is one of a kind because it is made to fit the tumor RNA of each patient. Because of this, the vaccination works better and there is less chance of side effects. It is a more personalized treatment option than regular drugs.
Enteromix can only be used to treat colon cancer right now, but scientists are looking into whether it can also be used to treat other aggressive cancers, like glioblastoma and melanoma. The fact that the shot can be changed means that it could be used to treat cancer.

After the good trial findings, the Russian Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) sped up the process of reviewing the rules. If it gets the green light, Enteromix might be the first individualized mRNA cancer vaccine in the world. This could change the way cancer is treated around the world. Enteromix’s achievement shows how mRNA technology could change the way we fight cancer and give patients around the world new hope.
