

On January 26. 2025, at 7:00 am IST, Shivangi Pathak, a 22-year-old mountaineer from Haryana, celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day, by hosting the Indian tricolor atop Mount Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest peak. Her native state and the nation were delighted with her success.
Standing at 2,228 meters above sea level, Mount Kosciuszko is one of the Seven Summits, the highest mountains on every continent. By now, she has ascended four of these summits, proving her commitment and love of mountaineering.

Early in life, Shivangi started her mountaineering adventure. At just sixteen, she became the youngest Indian to ascend Mount Everest, which led to the 2019 Prime Minister‘s Bal Shakti Puraskar.
She carried on her quest to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa on July 24, 2018, and Mount Elbrus in Europe on September 2, 2018. Her name appears also in the Limca Book of World Records as the youngest mountaineer to reach notable mountains.
Shivangi Pathak said thanks to her family, teachers, Vedic Global Sanstha, and Australia’s Brahmin Sabha’s regular assistance. Her next objective is the highest peak in Indonesia, the Carstensz Pyramid, as she works to complete the Seven Summits.

On June 1, 2025, Shivangi Pathak climbed Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya) in Indonesia. This was her fifth peak in the Seven Summits challenge. She shared the news on Instagram. She thanked her team and sponsors. Shivangi has just two peaks left: Mount Aconcagua in South America and Denali in North America. She aims to be one of the youngest Indians to finish the Seven Summits.
